RETRO FUTURE 1 - A Dark Outrun and Obscure Synthwave Mix (non-stop dj mix) electronic dance

mixed by DJ Xyntec

The year is 1996. The Future. The heaven over the port looks like a TV switched to a dead channel. Dark and obscure people wandering through the streets. Deadly screams and scary echos dominating the city. It is a cold night.

But nethertheless strange creatures are coming by. Meeting each other at a club called "The String". They forget about their origin. Their aim, their rivality. They are here to enjoy the last few hour they may have. They are here to dance. And this is their sound ...

DJ's note: My favorite Synthwave tunes combined into one Mix. There are many other great artists who I would loved to include into this mix, but didn't fit in the end. Bands like Dan Ternimus, Fantastisizer, Kavinski and many more went off, because I wanted to keep this mix within CD-length's limit. I am sure they will be included next time :-)

Thanks to all the featured artists, who made this compilation DJ mix possible.

EARTHA KITT - Greatest Hits (Album) 1997 hi-nrg disco eurobeat diva 80s RARE 'OUT OF Print' Dutch CD

Eartha Mae Kitt  (January 17, 1927 – December 25, 2008) was an American actress, singer, cabaret star, dancer, stand-up comedian, activist and voice artist, known for her highly distinctive singing style and her 1953 recordings of "C'est Si Bon" and the enduring Christmas novelty smash "Santa Baby", which were both US Top 10 hits. She starred in 1967 as Catwoman, in the third and final season of the television series Batman.Orson Welles once called her the "most exciting woman in the world"

In 1984, she returned to the music charts with a disco song titled "Where Is My Man," the first certified gold record of her career. "Where Is My Man" reached the Top 40 on the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at No. 36; the song also made the Top 10 on the US Billboard dance chart, where it reached No. 7. The single was followed by the album I Love Men on the Record Shack label. Kitt found new audiences in nightclubs across the UK and the US, including a whole new generation of gay male fans, and she responded by frequently giving benefit performances in support of HIV/AIDS organizations.

Her 1989 follow-up hit "Cha-Cha Heels" (featuring Bronski Beat), which was originally intended to be recorded by Divine, received a positive response from UK dance clubs and reached No. 32 in the charts.

HEAVEN MIX 2 - DJ Club Mix (Sat 24 October 1987) Johannesburg South Africa [2 hours non-stop mix] 80s Hi-NRG Eurobeat Italo Disco Pop RARE

Heaven was a nightclub from the mid-1980s in Johannesburg at 165 Marshall Street. Many will know this address as being that of the original Doors nightclub that opened in 1990 and operated there for many years before moving to Edenvale. Between Heaven and The Doors two other short-lived clubs called BLUES and BANGS operated on the premises.
The music was a mixture of high energy, eurobeat and italo disco with some of the popular hits of the day and classics club tracks. The DJ, Andrew Wood (ex SCANTS), was also responsible for mixing and releasing the popular High Energy series of 2LPs.
There was also a good dose of Depeche Mode, Marc Almond/Soft Cell and New Order as well as some lighter alternative stuff like Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure & Billy Idol dropped in later in the night.
Back then, the only way you got to hear proper club music was getting a tape recorded by a DJ at the club. These tapes were like gold and were copied widely.

Special thanks to:
Marc Latilla & Andrew Wood for making the mix tapes and artwork available
