Pete Shelley - Homosapien (12'' Dance Maxi) 1981 electro punk synth pop

Pete Shelley - Homosapien (12'' Dance Maxi) 1981

In 1981, Pete Shelley (from The Buzzcocks) released his first solo single, the song "Homosapien".
He returned to his original interests in electronic music and shifted emphasis from guitar to synthesizer.
The song was banned by the BBC for "explicit reference to gay sex", which didn't stop it from becoming enormously popular in dance clubs in Europe and North America. :)

"Fantasticly aggressive electro synth club baseline with original edgy punk attitute and clever lyrics. Amazing this track was released 30 years ago! Cutting edge! 10/10!"
[RETRO DISCO HI-NRG]

Homosapien = Human species (Latin: "wise man" or "knowing man") highly developed brain, capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection, and problem solving.

"Im the shy boy, Youre the coy boy
And you know were Homosapien too
Im the cruiser, Youre the loser, Me and you sir
Homosapien too

Homosuperior In my interior
But from the skin out Im homosapien too
And youre homosapien too And Im homosapien like you
And were homosapien too

And I think of your eyes in the dark and I see the star
And I look to the light and I might wonder right where you are
All the gods in the sky way up high see the world spinning round
But the sun and the moon and the stars are so far from the ground

Im the shy boy Youre the coy boy
And you know were Homosapien too
Im the cruiser Youre the loser
Me and you sir Homosapien too
Homosuperior In my interior
But from the skin out Im homosapien too
And youre homosapien too And Im homosapien like you And were homosapien too

And the worlds built of age are a stage where we act out our lives
And the words in the script seem to fit cept we have some surprise
I just want this to last or my future is past and all gone
And if this is the case then Ill lose in lifes race from now on

Homosuperior In my interior
But from the skin out Im homosapien too
And youre homosapien too And Im homosapien like you And were homosapien too

And I just hope and pray that the day of our love is at hand
You and i, me and you, we will be one from two, understand?
And the world is so wrong that I hope that well be strong enough
For we are on our own and the only thing known is our love
I dont wanna classify you like an animal in the zoo
But it seems good to me to know that youre homosapien too

Im the shy boy Youre the coy boy

I dont wanna classify you like an animal in the zoo
But it seems good to me to know that youre homosapien too
I dont wanna classify you like an animal in the zoo
But it seems good to me to know that youre homosapien too
I dont wanna classify you like an animal in the zoo
But it seems good to me to know that youre homosapien too

Silver Pozzoli - Around My Dream (Remix) Maxi Single 1984-1985 italo disco 80's hit

Silver Pozzoli - Around My Dream (Remix) Maxi Single 1985

Silver Pozzoli (born Silvio Pozzoli, 1953) is an Italian italo-disco singer who was popular in the 1980s. He had a massive hit worldwide with "See My Dream Around" - real title "Around My Dream" around 1984-1985.
The track was a mega #1 Hit in South Africa for weeks & weeks in 1985 (in fact, this f@*king song would not go away - although everyone secretly loved it!)
A happy, uplifting, sunshine song, with cute, child-like 'broken english' lyrics sung by a very deep voiced, butch Italian Man - which as a young boy made me smile :)
Fantastic italo disco baseline!

"You are my dream around my sweet desire
You are the air the moon that's in the sky.
I see there is a glow on all the people
Guess they know that I'm so deep in love.
Day after day I'm feeling very happy

Since you came and knew you were the one. I want a love to keep me going
baby
I close my eyes and all I dream is you.

"See, see, see
see my dream around
hdudyp. . . see my dream around.See, see, see, see my dream around,Tyhdudyp. . . see my dream"

I want you to stay here beside me, honey,Put your lips on mine and take my mind tonight. You are my life, my star, my rain and fire,All I can do is really always dream.Day after day I'm feeling very happy,

. . .See, see, see, see my dream around, . . .See, see, see, see my dream around, . .

.I want you to stay here beside me, honey,I want you to stay by my side.

I want you to stay here beside me,

"I was looking for love
He was seeking adventure but never said at the time
A first rate act, close to perfection
Though not what I had in mind

I can't believe the love he showed me
Was only hurt in disguise
I can't believe I let myself
Be fooled by him, I realize"

"False alarm, the love he showed me
False alarm, he left me so lonely
(False alarm) The love in his eyes was only hurt in disguise"

"He promised the world and I can remember
He said our love wouldn't end
I gave him my heart, now I face rejection
I won't let it happen again

I can't understand I wasted my time
On someone who don't really care
I can't understand how love went wrong
I cry alone, 'cause he's not there"

"Chorus"

"I always thought we would last forever
But now it seems so long ago and we're not together"

"Chorus"

"It was a false alarm

I can't believe the love he showed me
Was only hurt in disguise
I can't believe I let myself
Be fooled by him, I realize"

"Chorus"
